Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting for an Assembly Technician- Shaft Setting to join us on Nights, at a busy and exciting time; This is a permanent, full-time position, working within a friendly and supportive team.

What ABL will offer you?

  • 4 Day week (Monday to Thursday, 38 hours per week plus 4 hours overtime) – No weekends!

  • Shift Schedule: Mon-Weds x12 hours and Thurs x 6 hours

  • Overtime Available (paid at time & half)

About the Role:

Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting for an Assembly Technician- Shaft Setting to join us on Nights, at a busy and exciting time; This is a permanent, full-time position, working within a friendly and supportive team.

 

What will the role involve?

  • As an integral part of the team, your primary role will be to use a variety of tools and materials to prepare and set our small components, known as collets and shafts.

  • Work from drawings and process-control documents, in accordance with production schedules and other agreed timescales.

  • Ensure that you raise to your team-leader in a timely manner any tooling/resources/materials and/or process issues that may impact your ability to do your role

  • Developing good working relationships within own section and with other sections/departments.

  • To ensure that all work carried out complies with health and safety requirements as laid down by the company and by external bodies.

  • From time to time, to take on roles and responsibilities as reasonably required for the immediate needs of the Company.

What will you require?

  • Experience of working in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as training will be given
  • Ability to understand and follow technical drawings is desirable, but not essential
  • Well organised with the ability to manage time and work to tight deadlines.
  • Be a Self-motivated team player
  • Able to complete detailed/intricate work
  • Ability to operate with the minimum of supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with employees at all levels
  • IT literate
  • Right to work in the UK
