Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting for an Trainee Assembly Technician (Balancing) to join us at a busy and exciting time; This is a permanent, full-time position, working within a friendly and supportive team.

About the Role:

Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting for an Assembly Balancing Technician to join us at a busy and exciting time; This is a permanent, full-time position, working within a friendly and supportive team.

 

What will the role involve?

  • As an integral part of the assembly team, you will be responsible for accurate and timely dynamic balancing and testing of air bearing components, mainly shafts and spindles
  • You will safely use all materials, processes and tools, the principle roll will be to specialize in shaft balancing/orbit and final spindle testing
  • Work from drawings and process-control documents, in accordance with production schedules and other agreed timescales.
  • Ensure that you raise to your team-leader in a timely manner any tooling/resources/materials and/or process issues that may impact your ability to do your role
  • Developing good working relationships within own section and with other sections/departments.
  • To ensure that all work carried out complies with health and safety requirements as laid down by the company and by external bodies.
  • From time to time, to take on roles and responsibilities as reasonably required for the immediate needs of the Company.

What will you require?

  • Experience of working in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as training will be given
  • Ability to understand and follow technical drawings is desirable, but not essential
  • Well organised with the ability to manage time and work to tight deadlines.
  • Be a Self-motivated team player
  • Able to complete detailed/intricate work
  • Ability to operate with the minimum of supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with employees at all levels
  • IT literate
  • Right to work in the UK
